The two single layouts at CityHome (cityhome.hk), Type A and Type B, come with exactly the same things: a private bathroom, washing machine, fridge, air conditioning, desk and wardrobe.
There’s only one difference — how the room is divided.
Type A: a sitting corner as well
Type A has a sofa and a small round table, with the bed and desk each holding their own corner.
That means the room gives you two places to be: the desk for working, the sofa and table for everything else. Eating, watching something, a friend dropping by — none of it has to happen on the bed or at the desk.
Suits you if:
- You spend a lot of time at home and need to change seats to change mode
- You take video calls and would rather the background wasn’t your bed
- People come round occasionally and need somewhere to sit
Type B: one clean line
Type B has no sofa area. Rest, work and storage run along a single axis, leaving the middle of the room open.
That means more unbroken floor and a longer sightline. The mirror and wardrobe sit flush along the wall, so nothing juts out and chops up the space.
Suits you if:
- Your life happens outside and the room is for sleeping and studying
- You have a lot of belongings and want wall space to line them up
- You like the feeling of open floor more than extra furniture
A quick way to decide
Ask yourself one question: are you going to eat in the room?
If yes, take Type A. The round table exists for exactly that, so you’re not pushing a keyboard aside at the desk.
If no, take Type B and trade that furniture for room to move.
